Karina Walsh is a Registered Clinical Psychologist. She obtained her PGDipClinPsych from
Massey University and her Masters in Psychology from the University of Auckland. Prior to becoming a Clinical Psychologist she trained at postgraduate level in Industrial Psychology in the USA and Guatemala.
She worked in the Industrial/Organisational Psychology field for multinational companies for over 10 years,
both overseas and in New Zealand. She is a member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists and
holds a current Practicing Certificate.
Karina currently works with adults and couples addressing relationship issues, stress management, burnout,
change, depression, anger, trauma and anxiety. She also has experience working with families, children and
adolescents in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental health presentations.
Her practice is mainly based on the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy model, Mindfulness based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and evidence based treatments. Her treatment
is solution focused and goal oriented. She offers short-term interventions (approx 10 sessions) for adults
Karina is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
